Student of THI Business School awarded with DAAD-prize

Virna Marie Aberilla was awarded the “Prize for outstanding achievements of foreign students” of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the THI graduation ceremony in November 2018. Prof. Dr. Bernd Scheed, Dean of the THI Business School, handed over the prize. Aberilla comes from The Philippines and studies the English Bachelor degree programme International Retail Management at THI Business School in the fifth semester. The prize money of 1,000 Euros honors her outstanding academic achievements as well as her social commitment.

Besides her studies, Aberilla is one of the core members of the student organization N.I.C.E (Network & International Culture Exchange) at THI. In close cooperation with THI’s International Office, she organizes events such as the “Länderabend” or the “International Christmas” and takes care of foreign exchange students. In her home country, she already graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
