Emphasis of the technological field ‚Automotive Mechatronics‘ is the validation and testing of the overall vehicle system. Focus is placed on different subareas.

  • Functional safety: further development of the XiL-approach for  anticipatory automotive systems (integration of environmental sensors)
  • Systems engineering: Support of a continuous development process by integrated data management
  • Energy-efficiency, emissions:Adaption of the simulations for valuation of real world consumption or emission
  • Vehicle dynamics: Examination of the effects of new drivetrain concepts onto driving behaviour, especially driving stability
  • Active vehicle-safety: Validation of vehicle safety systems
