Goals and Teambuilding Workshop in Bad Tölz

Working at the foot of the mountains and growing closer together as a team

For 2 ½ days, the research group ELS made its way to Bad Tölz at the beginning of February for our goals and teambuilding workshop this year. As accommodation we chose the hotel "Kolberbräu". Here we started after the check-in with a small ice-breaker game, for which everyone created a slide with a child's photo of themselves in advance. Everyone else now had to digitally vote for the person in the team. Then, with the help of another slide prepared in advance, the person in question had to briefly introduce himself or herself on the basis of hobbies and interests. The aim of the game was to get to know the person better outside of work and thus strengthen the team bond. After the game, our technology field leader gave an introductory presentation briefly summarizing the agenda of the workshop and the development since the last workshop. After lunch, we set off on a guided tour of the town, where we were shown the most important sights of Bad Tölz. The city tour ended at the "Tölzer Binderbräu". Here we were able to taste three different types of beer while enjoying pretzels and Obazda. Afterwards we went back to work. We collected topics for the workshop, which were to be worked on in small groups the following day. We ended the day with dinner together in a relaxed atmosphere.

The next day, after breakfast, we started working on the various topics, which were then to be presented. To clear our heads, we went on a short hike around Bad Tölz, which ended with a view over Bad Tölz at the Leonhardikapelle. With renewed vigor, we worked on future topics in the afternoon. We used the evening to design a team puzzle, where everyone could express themselves artistically on their own puzzle piece. The result will then decorate our office.

The future topics we had worked out the afternoon before were presented and discussed on the last day of the workshop. We ended the workshop with a feedback round and a joint lunch.
This workshop was once again very valuable for us and our team. We are excited about where our workshop will take place next year and are already looking forward to it.
