Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt enjoys a good reputation among students of its partner universities from all over the world. Thus, a steadily growing number of international students decide to spend one or two exchange semesters at THI. We meet this increasing demand with a continuous extension of lectures taught in English at all three faculties.
The International Office provides exchange students with all necessary information and support during all phases of their stay in Ingolstadt:
Firstly, all exchange students need to be selected and nominated for an exchange semester by their home university. Only nominated students can be taken into account!
The whole application process takes place online. Therefore, please refrain from sending us application documents via email or in hard copy!
As soon as the application period of the respective semester starts, the nominated students receive a link to our online application tool. Having registered, the tool will gradually guide you through the application process. Make sure to check your email account regularly!
You need to have the following documents on hand in order to upload them when required:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript of Records
- Picture for your Student ID card
- Winter semester: 15 June
- Summer semester: 15 January
Please note, that we cannot accept applications from free movers!
If you participate in the Erasmus+ programme, you will need to fill in a Learning Agreement (LA) before your stay abroad. You need to contact your home university in order to get the form. Please be aware, we can only sign the LA after you and your home university’s coordinator have signed it.
