The advanced Master’s programme “Engineering Procurement” is based on the general structure of the Bachelor’s programme “Business Engineering”. It aims at providing students with advanced knowledge of research methods and applications of project engineering processes in the field of engineering procurement. Besides the applied methodology students will be familiarised with a range of theoretical research basics that will qualify them for doctoral studies or a research career.

“Engineering Procurement” will be assigned to a newly founded Faculty of Engineering Management in winter term 2019/20. This will not entail considerable changes or effects for students or applicants though.
The programme is a full-time course covering three theoretical semesters. The third semester includes basically the preparation of the Master’s thesis.
Applications for this degree may be submitted through the online application system from November 15th – January 15th for the summer term and May 2nd to July 15th for the winter term.
The successful completion of a Bachelor´s or "Diplom"-degree in Engineering or Science, or an equivalent degree at a German university with a minimum of 210 credit points (in conformity with General Examination Regulations) - or - the successful completion of an equivalent degree at a foreign university.Admission restrictions are decided for each semester and are usually published in April each year. The average mark required and the waiting time for receiving a place are not decided in advance, but depend on the number of applicants and available capacity.

Graduates will be qualified for engineering or leading positions and for project work or project management in the field of procurement. At the same time they will be able to comply with international standards and to take over leading positions.
- No tuition fees - 42,00 EUR student’s union contribution per semester only.
- General information on scholarship:
Public funding (BAföG) is only available to Germans and to EU citizens if they have spent a considerable part of their education in Germany. The university awards a scholarship called Deutschlandstipendium once a year which cannot fully cover living expenses. Additionally we have limited funds and support some international students for a maximum of one semester. Please do not actively approach the International Office on scholarships, once a year a call for application automatically reaches all international students.
