The first Ingolstadt Patent Day took place at THI on Friday, 10 January 2023 under the title "IP in Transition".

More than 130 participants came to the university to learn about current developments in the patent industry through presentations by high-ranking experts and to exchange views in discussion rounds. The central theme of the Patent Day was the challenges of a digital, networked and international world with regard to intellectual property (IP). Prof. Dr. Andrea Klug, head of the conference, emphasised the practical orientation of the lectures.

The Ingolstadt Patent Day, organised by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology together with the Institute for Academic Continuing Education of the THI, is a building block in the IP competence field of the THI. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology will expand its range of courses to include a Master's degree in patent engineering in the winter semester of 2023/2024.
